Unconformities are formed when there is a break in sedimentation. This creates a gap in the geological records. Eparchaen unconformity is again one topic which I have learned back in Geology classes and teacher suggested us to notice Eparchean unconformity on the way to Tirupati.
So here I am doing the same. Observing a magnificent million-year-old unconformity. As somehow we can’t get the darshan in the temple but while roaming the outside museum I recalled that we are a million years old potential geological creation which remind us of recess in the geological period.
Unconformity:
An unconformity represents an interval of time of unknown length which is spent in an erosion of the underlying strata before the deposition of the overlying rocks. I found a few interesting study material.
Here is list of some other geological delight from Sachet walker

Dhanushkodi is a place which will shake you from inside out, these furious yet gentle waves will remind you of something forgotten, hidden rage and anger will slightly flow in this oceanic water.
Whatever may be the occasion (I never miss to pose) and make my collection rich with memories.

I have tried other water activities at Andaman and Nicobar but here it was special because I was tired of doing regular travelling and water activities definitely recharge you.
Sri Panchmukhi Hanuman Mandir & Floating Stonestemple
A magnificent and memorable place to visit. Once or twice this will remind you of RICH INDIAN CULTURE and will make you feel special.
Now, I happened to do some background research on why they are floating
A scientific possibility
If air is trapped within a shell of silica it would look like a stone but would actually be very light and would thus float. Another example is Ice. When put into glass having liquid, ice floats on liquid & after some time it sinks. Another prime example is of “Pumice” stone.
Theory 1 (Pumice Theory):
I read this in a blog. It sounds totally reasonable at first. In short below,
Let start from the scientific fact that if air is trapped within silica, it would look like a stone but would be very light and float. Another example is Ice. When put into a liquid, ice floats on liquid & after some time it sinks. Another example is of “Pumice” stone. Pumice is the hardened foam of lava when it comes out of a volcano. The inside of a volcano has very high pressure and can be as hot as 1600 Celcius. When the lava comes out of the volcano, it meets the cool air or seawater.
Then air and water that was mixed in the lava bubble out. Due to temperature differences, it freezes and so bubbles trapped inside them. Hence weight is reduced, so it floats.
Dense stones do not float on water. But because pumice is full of air bubbles, it is less dense than water. So, in the beginning, it will float. But in time, water will enter the bubbles driving out the air. Slowly, the pumice sinks. This also explains why the Ram Setu is underwater today. Pumice doesn’t float forever. But you don’t see volcanoes near Rameswaram. So if you visit a volcanic island (like Barren Island in the Andamans, or Anak Krakatau in Indonesia), you can see several acres of pumice around the shore. Due to Tsunami in 2004, these stones washed towards shore, and people begin to see floating stones.
Drawback: Some floating stones of Rameshwaram are not light weighted like pumice rocks and doesn’t have the chemical composition similar to pumice rocks. Also, the colour of the pumice rocks is white or creams but there are many black floating stones in Rameswaram.

Wave Pools
The only difference is that the water isn’t salty and you don’t have to be afraid of the sea carrying you away.
In winter the pool is heated, so you can wallow in the waters all year round. The smaller of the two pools has shallow waters and tiny waves that children can cope with.
Sky Wheel
Firmly straddling a 13-story-high tower, the giant wheel with a diameter of 30 meters slowly turns on its axis to give the riders a bird’s eye view of the park and its surroundings.
Spacious lifts carry visitors to the top of the tower, which is a landmark that can be seen from miles around.
Wonder Splash
This ride is an absolute must for every guest visiting Wonderla. A bogie that resembles a raft made of logs is hauled up a hill using a conveyor and taken through a tunnel.
On emerging from the tunnel, it hurtles down a steep incline at a dizzying speed and splashes into a shallow pool, sending a glorious spray of water your way and drenching you in the process.
This fun ride is suitable for all riders in all the age groups.
Twisters
Twisters are a set of three water slides with tube-like structures that take you through a series of loops to finally disgorge you into a shallow pool of water.

This high tech roller coaster is imported from the Netherlands and has two track ramps that go up to 40 meters.

Jungle Lagoon
Medium height water activity with special soft flooring, very shallow water levels and 5 uniquely themed water slides and a large water play tree-house and It can accommodate over 400 people comfortably.

Saint Chapelle is a gem of high Gothic architecture. I got an opportunity to sneak-peek into 12-century gem of Sainte-Chapelle.
The Palais de la Cite was residence and seat of Royal power from 10th to the 14th centuries and housed the Conciergerie and Sainte Chapelle which are now part of the Palace of Justice.
Historical Significance of Sainte -Chapelle
The Sainte Chapelle was built between 1242 and 1248, in accordance with the wishes of Louie IX (King from 1226 to 1217 and the future Saint Louis) the house of relics of The Passion of Christ. The most famous of these relics was Crown of Thrones, acquired in 1239 for a sum that greatly exceeded the cost of building the chapel itself.
The religious and political influence of Sainte -Chapelle
The Holy Relics(parts of saint body, or objects that belonged to saints) has belonged to the emperor of Constantinople since the 4th century.
In purchasing them, Louis IX added to the prestige of both France and Paris which, in eyes of medieval Europe, became a “New Jerusalem” and hence the second capital of Christianity.
Throughout the Revolutionary period,
The Sainte Chapelle, which was a symbol of royalty by divine right, suffered a great deal of damage, although the Steel with glass rose windows remain intact. From 1846 onwards, a huge wave of restoration work was carried out on the building, giving it its current appearance.
Two sanctuaries, one on the top of the other
From the beginning, the relics where displayed and worshipped in the Upper Chapel. Only The King, and his close friends and family, and the Karen’s leading the services entered it via the outdoor terrace, which at the time was connected to the palace. The lower Chapel was a place of the worship for Palace staff. The best silica type layout with semicircular simple. It was to be used as a model for other Holy chapels, those of Vincennes and Chateudun
Sainte -Chapelle: The lower Chapel
The visitor is created by the Statue of the Virgin Mary, the centuries Patron Saint, at the portal.
Inside, polychrome decoration, like the carved decoration in the porch, dates back to 19th century Restoration work. In the apse on the left, above the door to the former sacristy, is its 13th-century Fresco defecting the Annunciation.
This is the oldest wall painting in Paris. The low vault is held up by openwork struts linking the aisle columns to the lateral walls. These walls are decorated with blind trefoil arcature and 12 medallions featuring the apostle.
The vaults fleur-de-lys on the Azure background I also find on the column, alternating with Towers on the purple background which was arms of Queen Blanche of the castle, Louie IX mother.
Sainte -Chapelle: The Upper Chapel
This is truly monumental and sumptuously decorated reliquary. Sculpture and Windows combined harmoniously to glorify the Passion of Christ and create a feeling of entry into the Heavenly Jerusalem, bathed in light and colour.
The Chapel post-match of even its early fame to its stained glass Windows.
The 1,113 scenes depicted in the 15 stained glass windows tell the story of mankind from Genesis through to Christ resurrection. 14 of the windows depicting episodes from the Bible, should be read from left to right from the bottom upward.
The Palais de Justice in Île de la Cité in Paris is a vast and majestic gothic structure.
The site of which was originally the home of governors of Ancient Rome.
As the current seat of the French judicial system,
The Palais de Justice serves a function which it has fulfilled in various guises since medieval times.
This began in earnest in April 1793, when the civil chamber or “Premier Chambre Civile” of the Palais de Justice became the home of the Revolutionary Tribunal.
This was the fearsome court of the French Revolution from which the Reign of Terror was systematically carried out.
Being part of a bigger family such as the ART OF LIVING. I got this opportunity to be part of a Yoga team. With a bunch of people, we conducted two sessions of Yoga with an estimated 300 students. This was an overwhelming experience to celebrate fifth International Yoga Day at Narayana Techno School.
How International yoga day (21 JUNE)came into existence?
On December 11 in 2014, the United Nations General Assembly declared June 21st as the International Day of Yoga. The declaration came at the behest of the Indian Prime Minister, Narendra Modi during his address to UN General Assembly on September 27, 2014, wherein he stated: “Yoga is an invaluable gift of India’s ancient tradition.
It embodies the unity of mind and body; thought and action; restraint and fulfillment; harmony between man and nature; a holistic approach to health and well-being.
It is not about exercise but to discover the sense of oneness with yourself, the world and nature”.
In Suggesting June 21, which is the Summer Solstice, as the International Day of Yoga,
Narendra Modi had said: “the date is the longest day of the year in the Northern Hemisphere and has special significance in many parts of the world.”
What is yoga?
In Swami Vivekananda “all this bringing of the mind into a higher state of vibration is included in one word in Yoga .”Yoga is an ancient physical, mental and spiritual practice that originated in India.
However, the word ‘yoga’ derives from Sanskrit and means to join or to unite, symbolizing the union of body and consciousness.
Why do we mark International Days?
International days are occasions to educate the public on issues of concern, to mobilize political will and resources to address global problems and to celebrate and reinforce the achievements of humanity.
The existence of international days predates the establishment of the United Nations, but the UN has embraced them as a powerful advocacy tool.
What is theme for International Yoga DAY 2019?

However, Climate Action theme focuses on the way how yoga can help us to solve the problem of climate change and also it brings a lot more benefits to the lives of people.
What is the Meaning of the International Yoga Day logo ?
It is necessary to work towards climate change. The sense of respect for mother earth overcomes regular yoga practitioners that will help people to act in a certain way at home and working environment to work and build a better future.
Above all the significance of International Yoga Day
1.Increased muscle strength and tone ,Increased flexibility
2.Improved respiration, energy and vitality
3.Maintaining a balanced metabolism
