Ooty is an undeniable beauty in all true sense which is located at 7350 ft differentiating from the rest of the TamilNadu. We drive to Ooty from Rameshwaram on a road trip (which we started earlier midnight). Here I was with my husband and in-laws which was obviously making this trip more juicy and spicy (that I can discuss in separate post difference while traveling with parents and in-laws)
Here is a list of places to visit in Ooty with vibrant images-
Government Botanical Garden :
With a nominal ticket fee of 30 rupees for adults, you can visit and spend hours in a luscious green garden of Government Botanical Garden which was established since 1848.
Pine forest :
The shooting of Bollywood Movies has taken place here. such as Raaz
Valley area developed as a pine forest . This place has additional value in winters when fog covers this and gives it a mystical appearance.
Rose Garden :
For the best scenic view plan your visit November to February during monsoon season here is a scarcity of flowers.
The Government Rose Garden located in the heart of Ooty is one of the largest rose gardens in India and also a popular tourist attraction.
The beautiful garden is spread across 10 acres of land and houses some of the largest collections of roses in the country including miniature roses, hybrid tea roses, floribunda, ramblers, black and green roses, and many other unique varieties. The Rose Garden is not only a delight for the eyes and the senses but also a must-visit for those interested in horticulture.
Ooty Lake
The first and best place to hang out with family and friends. We purchased tickets for Motor boats 8 seater Fees Rs 520/- Driver Charge Rs 40/-, Total = Rs 560/- (later we take two other persons with us as extended members).
This place will reenergize you and a nice place for spending time with family and shopping.
